The POWER is YOURS!!

I love cartoons, always have, always will. Do you remember the cartoon Captain Planet? If not, this cartoon is centered around five young individuals who help fight crime against those who attempt to contaminate and destroy earth's elements such as water, fire, earth, wind and heart. Now when they could not overcome their adversary, they would combine their "powers" together to summon up "Captain Planet". Please stay with me, you'll see where I'm trying to take you, in a few moments. Now once their powers are combined, Captain Planet appears and defeats their adversary. Right when he leaves, he always says "THE POWER IS YOURS!" Now, just like Captain Planet told the Planeters that the power was theirs, so our Heavenly Father gave the very same commision to the disciples when He was ascending in to Heaven (after His Resurrection). As Children of the Almighty God, I feel that we haven't really tapped into the "power" that Jesus gave us over the adversary. We many tap into it some but have we REALLY tapped into the power that He has given us? In Matthew 28:18 (NKJV) it states, "And Jesus came and spoke to them, saying, "All authority has been given to Me in heaven and on earth." Jesus also told His disciples in Matthew 16:19 (NKJV), "And I will give you the keys of the kingdom of heaven, and whatever you bind on hearth will be bound in heaven, and whatever you loose on earth will be loosed in heaven." Jesus also declared in John 14:12 NKJV that "Most assuredlly, I say to you, he who believes in Me, the works I do he will do also; and GREATER WORKS than these he will do, because I go to My Father." Don't forget that "God has not given us a spirit of fear, but of POWER and of love and a sound mind." (II Timothy 1:7 NKJV). Just remember that the POWER IS YOURS!! Be blessed!!!
