TGIF!! Thank God I'm Forgiven.....

TGIF everyone!!!! I'm sure that you're used to my weekly posts coming out on Mondays but I just HAD to share this TGIF post on today! To most people when they see or hear TGIF, the first thing that they think of is Thank God It's Friday! Now when you have had a week and you're looking forward to the weekend, that is the first thing that comes to mind!! On last night as I was having my 1:1 prayer time with God, I kept saying to Him, Thank God I'm Forgiven, Thank God I'm Forgiven and I said God, I must share this with everyone on tomorrow! When I had my morning devotion of FIRST 5, it was centered around Joseph forgiving his brothers and it was a confirmation of what today's special blog posting should be!!!

You know there are moments in life in which we say or do things that may hurt people or vice versa, we are the ones who are hurt by what some one has said or done to us. What is the right thing for us to do when we have done something to someone??? Right...apologize and ask for forgiveness!!! What should we do when someone has hurt us and we are asked for forgiveness....yes we are to accept their apology and forgive them! Yes, I am well aware that it takes a big person to ask for forgiveness and a bigger person to accept it! I've been the one to ask for forgiveness and also one to accept forgiveness.

You know, our Father has been forgiving us since the beginning....it started on the Cross in which the very ones who was worshipping Him one week and on the next week crying out Crucify Him, Crucify Him!!! Even in the midst of all of the pain, suffering and dying...Jesus took out a moment in time to ask His Father to FORGIVE them (us) because they (we) do not know what they do!! Isn't that amazing that Our Father forgives us in the midst of our mess? He forgives us when we KNOW that we are doing wrong and we do it any way. He forgives us when we continually to fall down, make the same mistakes and taking the same detours in life!!

Our Father is so gracious and kind to show His compassion on us by loving us...keeping us...guiding us...giving us His Grace and Mercy (without it, we would be in a horrible place) and for FORGIVING us of our sins, corruption which grieves His Heart.

I'm thankful that T.G.I.F applies to my life every single second, minute and hour of each day of my life. Without His Forgiveness, we wouldn't exist today. If someone has done something to you and you haven't forgiven them, I admonish, I encourage you to FORGIVE them on today because with FORGIVENESS comes FREEDOM!! Who the Son sets FREE is FREE INDEED!! Free yourself by FORGIVING on today!!!

Thank God I'm Forgiven,

~ LibFiles
